Five entertaining programs about our rich heritage

  • The Prairie Lady
    • brings the era alive with her humor as she reminisces about life on the prairie in the 1800's. Peek in her market basket to learn more about the time. Based on true stories gathered from original settlers.

  • Threads of Time
    • lets you see dresses, jeans & other clothing from the mid 1800's begin a new life as a rug, quilt, hanky panky, & toy. Threads of Time abounds with show & tell items. See a demon-stration of rug weaving on a 4-foot wagon wheel.

  • Barbed Wire Saga
    • tells the story of the wire's varied life since being invented. See a collection of historical wires & pictures of unusual ways barbed wire has been used through the years. Watch barbed wire become an art form.

  • A-Maizing Grass
    • has been used in a variety of ways for thousands of years: as food, toys, decorations, & in ceremonies. See a demonstration showing a new twist on the old art of using corn husks as a decoration.

  • Apron Tales
    • is a "style show" with stories and a special mannequin to model the aprons from yesterday and today. These aprons have been sewn with love and care for many varied occasions and reasons. Whether it was for man or woman, the versatile apron met the need.

Each of the five programs is entirely different
Each has its own correct period clothing and accouterments
All programs are humorous and involve the audience and are done in good taste
All programs are approximately 20-30 minutes in length and stay true to historical facts
