Purpose: To support projects for the betterment of the community.
Meetings: the third Tuesday of each month, 10:45 a.m. at the Pub Club for lunch. All welcome!

Delores Hubb, Food Pantry Director on the left, receives a check for $200 from LN Booster Club President, Sharon Steiner. The money was raised by Booster members Janine Shannon, Enos Inhs, and Susan Drury who worked the food stand at Barnes in DeWitt. The money will be used to help fund the Christmas in July Program at the Food Pantry in Lost Nation.
Booster Club Met June 16

The Lost Nation Booster Club met in regular session at the Pub Club with 22 members present. President Sharon Steiner called the meeting to order at 10:45 and offered a prayer. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were accepted.

Food Pantry Director, Delores Hubb, accepted a $200 check from the Club. The donation was from the profits of the food stand at Barnes in DeWitt. The money will be used for helping fund the Christmas in July program.

The first Farmer’s Market had four vendors on Sat., June 13. It was well attended and they were sold out by 11:00. More produce will be available in the coming weeks.

Linn Schultz is donating a deep freeze for use in the Gilroy Rustic Park kitchen. The Club will be selling ice cream at the Park during Rustic Days.

The tentative schedule for Rustic Days will soon be in the Scoop and posted on this website. Money is being collected from sponsors of Rustic Days. If you would like to be a sponsor, please send a donation to: Susan Drury, Box 417, Lost Nation, IA 52254.

The Club will buy gas for the car the Citizen of the Year will use in the Rustic Days Parade. Minutes of the regular meetings of the Club will be posted on the Lost Nation website www.LostNationIowa.com starting in June.

Pam Bair will check on other possible sites for the regular Booster meetings and report at the next meeting on July 21.

The Lost Nation Booster Club had its beginning in 1952. Through the years the Booster Club has supported many projects. The Club helps organize Rustic Days, supports the Community Scoop, and helps encourage the citizens of Lost Nation to take pride in their community.

The next regular meeting will be held at The Pub Club on Tuesday, April 21 at 10:45 a.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend and support our community!

The Lost Nation Booster Club invites YOU to join and help support the various activities and events in our community. Attending meetings is not required as the club is aware of how busy everyone is.
