Honoring the Red, White, & Blue
the 2008 Rustic Days Parade Theme
Behind the Scenes during the parade line-up:
Upper left: Putting last minute touches on the K&L Construction & Bubba's Detailing float
Above: Myra, Caleb, & Sydney wait patiently on the wagon while the horses get hitched up.
Left: Gabe & Mazie pose for the camera.
Photos shared by Karen Propst--Thanks!
Left: The Lost Nation Booster Club "Citizen of the Year" Susan Drury. Thanks, Susan, for all of the things you do for your community and for others outside of our community. You are a true volunteer!
Right: Does Paul think a red lighted star is as good as a halo? At least the kids were having a good time!
A few political entries, some tractors, trucks, and last, but not least, the horses. So ends another Rustic Days Parade.
The Lost Nation Booster Club invites YOU to join and help support the various activities and events in our community. Attending meetings is not required as the club is aware of how busy everyone is. Take an interest in supporting our community. Helping hands and ideas are always welcome! Membership dues remain at $5/year. To join, send a check to Susan Drury, Treasurer, P.O. Box 417, Lost Nation, IA 52254, or drop it off with Rita Johnson, President, at 407 Main Street.
