Lost Nation Booster Club
Announces Citizen of the Year
for 2008!
Rita Johnson presents award to Susan Drury
The 2008 Citizen of the Year, Susan Drury, was named Monday night at the Annual Fantasy Cruise sponsored by the Lost Nation Booster Club. Each year the club nominates someone who has generously contributed to our community in various volunteer activities.

Susan has been quietly working for various service organizations and youth of our community for many years. As a retired educator, Susan still tutors students in math. She has served as treasurer of the LN Booster Club, is an active member of the LN Lions Club where she volunteers for many activities, and is active in her Church, teaching Sunday School classes and serving on various women's committees. Susan supports her community in many ways and is always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Thanks, Susan, for your many hours of tireless service to the community of Lost Nation, Iowa!

Rita Johnson, LN Booster Club President, presents this year's Citizen of the Year award to Susan Drury.
Over ninety people attended the annual Fantasy Cruise dinner sponsored by the Lost Nation Booster Club on Monday, March 24.
Below: Music, provided by Margaret Lasack, set the tone for the relaxing dinner hour.
Above: Tom Gatzios and his Pub Club crew provided a delicious meal for the event. Thanks, Tom & helpers!

Below: Tom's two boys also assisted the crew above in serving the meal. Thanks guys!
Above: Boy Scout Troop 62 assisted with serving and clean up. Great job guys! The Troop also volunteered 10 members at 4 hours each to be "auctioned" with the proceeds to be donated to the Scoop. They brought a $100 donation!
Thanks to everyone who donated items and those who purchased them.
